About the design
Designed in three dimensions
A lotus in bloom
Twelve outer and twelve inner lotus petals, each with a central vein and fine grooves, rise around the saffron bowl. A raised mandala of scallops, petals and dots and a layered lotus-bud knob print in a second color as part of the one-piece ivory lid, so there is nothing to glue. The lid rests on the rim by its beveled underside.
