About the design
Designed in three dimensions
Five minutes to midnight
A fine coin edge runs round the charcoal case between two gold bands, with a knurled gold winding crown at three o’clock; the gold prints as part of the body. The dial is set at five to midnight: bezel, minute track, Roman numerals, hour markers, Breguet moon hands and the centre boss are raised in a second color as part of the one-piece lid, and the boss lifts it off. The lid rests on the rim by its beveled underside.
