About the design

Designed in three dimensions

A Persian sunburst

Sixteen leaf-shaped flutes spiral a quarter turn around the sage body. A raised girih rosette, a twelve-point star with kites, a ring and rays, and a faceted gem knob print in a second color as part of the one-piece ivory lid, so there is nothing to glue. The lid rests on the rim by its beveled underside.
