About the design
Designed in three dimensions
A guiding light
The tower tapers from a plinth to a corbelled gallery ring, with red bands split at V grooves and a red arched door and windows printing as part of the body. The lid is the lantern room: a gallery deck with a fluted balustrade, ten recessed panes in their frames, a corbelled eave, a pitched roof and a ventilator ball, with the balustrade, glazing and ball in a second color. It rests on the rim by its beveled underside.
