The pomegranate box
A sweet year, crowned in gold.
A deep-red pomegranate with six soft ribs, girdled by a gold vine of little hanging pomegranates and paired leaves. Its domed lid carries a ring of seed pearls and two leaves, and rises into a gold calyx crown of six pointed sepals, the pomegranate’s own crown. A keepsake for a small gift at the holiday table.

About the design
Designed in three dimensions
Crowned in gold
Six soft ribs run over the pomegranate, and the cavity narrows with it at no more than 45 degrees. A vine of little hanging pomegranates and paired leaves wraps the shoulder in a second color as part of the body. The domed lid carries a ring of seed pearls, two leaves and the fruit’s own crown, six pointed sepals on a neck, in the same second color, so there is nothing to glue. The lid rests on the rim by its beveled underside. Decorative only.
