The bauble keepsake box
An ornament that opens.
A burgundy glass-ball bauble on a small foot, with four gold starburst reflector dishes, gold lyre scrolls and bands round its belly. The domed lid carries dotted gold meridians and a scalloped crown under a fluted cap and a hanging loop you lift it by.

About the design
Designed in three dimensions
An ornament that opens
The glass-ball body stands on a small foot and rises at 45 degrees into its sphere. Four reflector dishes with sixteen-ray starbursts, lyre scrolls between them, two bands and a row of drops print in gold as part of the body. The domed lid carries eight dotted meridians, a scalloped crown, a fluted cap and an upright hanging loop with a pointed opening, all in the same gold. The lid rests on the rim by its beveled underside; the loop is decorative.
