The gingerbread house box
A cottage you won’t have to eat by New Year.
A gingerbread cottage piped in white: scallops and drops under the eaves, candy-striped corners, an iced door with a gumdrop knob, iced windows with drips, a heart, peppermints on the sides and a wreath on the back. The roof lid is snowed white over rows of piped icing tiles and a gumdrop ridge, with gingerbread hip ends and a brick chimney under a snowy cap.

About the design
Designed in three dimensions
Iced, not eaten
Piped icing runs under the eaves in scallops and drops, down the candy-striped corners and round an arched door with a gumdrop knob, two iced windows with drips, a heart, a peppermint on each side and a wreath on the back, all in a second color as part of the body. The roof lid carries piped icing tiles, an iced eave band and a gumdrop ridge, and a chimney with a snowy cap it lifts off by. It rests on the rim by its beveled underside. Not edible.
