Green potion spills over the rolled lip in drips. The lid is the potion itself: swirled, bubbling, with two floating bones and a cluster of bubbles you lift it by.

About the design

Designed in three dimensions

Bubbling over

Two riveted iron bands, a cycle of moon phases with four-point stars and ring handles on rosette bosses are sculpted round the round-bellied pot. The lit moons, the stars and the potion drips running over its rolled lip print in the lid color as part of the body. The lid is the potion: a stirred swirl, bubbles with flat crowns, popped rings and a cluster of fused bubbles for a knob, with two floating bones and the rounded rim in a second color. It rests on the rim by its beveled underside.
