About the design

Designed in three dimensions

A cake that keeps

Cream frosting runs over the rim and drips down the strawberry sponge, above a piped shell border; the icing prints in cream as part of the body. On the cream frosting lid, twelve piped rosettes, a ring of pearls and a candle with its flame print in a second color as part of the one piece; the candle is the knob. The lid rests on the rim by its beveled underside. Not for food.
